Starting hourly base pay is $23.72 to $26.18, and the 5-year top step pay is $32.53. Keeping an eye on your future, our current contract has base pay for Lieutenant Paramedics up to $37.27 per hour.
We have an excellent compensation package as defined by our IAFF Local 4546 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Current CPAT or eligible for lateral transfer under NH Administrative Rule, Fire 703.01; Firefighter 2 certified; Nationally Registered Paramedic or paramedic in training, or an Advanced EMT; Driver’s license, high school graduate or GED; Must live within 20 miles of the Pelham town line within one year of hire. Successful applicants must then pass an oral interview, physical agility test, a medical exam, and an extensive background investigation.

Our new federal grant added a 5th on-duty firefighter. Our two-tiered ALS system gives paramedics the flexibility to treat patients when needed or stay available when not needed.
