The Town of Littleton Fire & Rescue Department is accepting qualified candidates for an anticipated Firefighter/AEMT (Paramedic) position.  Littleton is a vibrant community of approx. 6000 residents located in the White Mountains along the Vermont border.  A center for business, shopping, medical care, education and services in New Hampshire’s North County, Littleton was named one of the Best Towns in the US by Outside Magazine ®. 

Minimum Qualifications Include:

·         High School Diploma

·         Valid New Hampshire Driver’s License including CDL-B with tank endorsement (required within 6 months of employment.)

·         NH Firefighter II or Pro Board-Certified Firefighter II

·         Nationally Registered Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (Paramedic preferred)

·         Current CPAT or Lateral transfer pursuant to New Hampshire Administrative Rule, Chapter Fire 703

Associates Degree in Fire Science/Technology is desirable.

This position is a union position that includes specific duty schedules and salary requirements. In addition, successful candidates must be available to respond to off-shift emergencies and work overtime shifts as necessary.  Starting salary for probationary firefighters is $47,473.92 to $52,116.48 per year depending on EMS certification level.  Benefits include paid leave, medical/life/disability insurance, NH Retirement System, and uniform allowance. “On Call” Fire Fighters are encouraged to apply.

The Town of Littleton conducts extensive pre-employment background/criminal/motor vehicle records checks, a NFPA 1582 pre-employment physical and drug & alcohol testing for all successful applicant candidates.
