Firefighter/EMT Part-Time The Town of Newington, NH is accepting applications for the position of Part Time Firefighter/EMT, AEMT or Paramedic (Part-time).  This position is responsible for providing Fire Prevention, Fire Suppression, and Emergency Medical Services (transport service) to the Town of Newington. Applicants must possess at time of hiring, Firefighter I certification (Firefighter II preferred), and National Registry EMT, AEMT or Paramedic (AEMT & Paramedic preferred).  Salary range is $20.15-$28.43 based on qualifications and experience. The Candidate must successfully pass a 12-month probationary training program. Part-time Firefighters work a variable shift schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays while working with any of the 4 duty shifts. Shifts are typically either 10-hour days, 14-hour nights, or a full 24 hours. If selected, after initial resume review, the candidate must pass an oral board interview, Chief’s interview, background check with motor vehicle and criminal record, NFPA 1582 physical and an 80-hour paid skills evaluation and orientation.
