Rye Fire Rescue Firefighter AEMT Paramedic Recruitment

Rye Fire Rescue is looking for a career Firefighter/Paramedic or AEMT (Paramedic preferred) to join our team. We provide 24/7 coverage with 11 Career Firefighters (including the Fire Chief & Deputy) and 19 Call & Per-Diem members. We respond to all Fire, EMS and Rescue calls. Jetski1 located in Rye Harbor responds to rescue calls along the Rye shore to the Isle of Shoals.

The Town of Rye (population 5,452) has the longest stretch of coastline of any New Hampshire coastal town and also contains four of the nine islands known as the Isles of Shoals, which lie several miles off the Rye shores. Rye is home to several State Parks, Rye Harbor (a commercial fishing port), Star Island, and several local beaches.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent (related college degree preferred); National Registry AEMT or Paramedic Certification (Paramedic preferred); Pro-Board Firefighter II Certification or Career Level (C2F2). Applicants must comply with New Hampshire Fire Standards and Training Commission’s Rule Part 700; Successful Completion of the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT); A valid NH Driver’s License (CDL-Preferred). Starting Pay wage: Firefighter / AEMT $27.50 per hour. Firefighter / Paramedic $28.91 per hour.
