Opening for Per Diem Firefighter/EMT

The Sanbornton Fire & Rescue is accepting applications to fill open positions of Per Diem Firefighter/EMT (AEMT or Paramedic preferred).

Sanbornton Fire & Rescue is a combination department made up of a full time Chief, a part time Deputy Chief/EMS Coordinator, 1 full time Lieutenant/EMS provider, 3 full time Firefighter/EMS providers, 1 part time administrative assistant, 15 On-Call Firefighters and EMS providers and 7 Per Diem Firefighter/EMS providers.

We have Per Diem openings for 12-hour day shifts from 8 am to 8 pm and 4-hour evening shifts from 8 pm to midnight. (Must not exceed 1,500 hours on average annually), with the Police Department moving out of the Life Safety building into their own space, the fire department is now staffing the station on a 24-hour basis.

Minimum requirements:

·        18 years of age

·        High School diploma (or GED)

·        NH Licensed provider at the EMT level

·        Valid NH driver’s license

·        Pro-Board Firefighter I

·        Highly motivated individuals that can show a commitment to the town, our residents and the       department.

Additional consideration will be given to applicants with:

·        AEMT certification

·        Pro-Board Firefighter II

·        Paramedic certification
