Town of Bridgewater Fire Rescue and EMS
The Bridgewater Public Safety, Fire Rescue and EMS Department is currently accepting applications for per diem and on call EMT’s and on call Firefighters.
Applicants are required to have a State of NH provider’s license at the EMT or AEMT level, they will also be required to submit a criminal background and driving records check previous to employment.
Day shift duties will include response to all medical emergencies and provide standby coverage on all fire incidents, general station maintenance and up keep, ambulance supply inventory and maintenance to keep in a constant state of readiness.
On call shifts are required to be within a 15 minute response to the Bridgewater station or willing to stay in the station during the on call hours. On call duties are to respond to all medical emergencies and provide standby coverage on all fire incidents.
Bridgewater EMS schedule is completed a month at a time.
Applicants will be required to provide a minimum of 2 call shifts somewhere in the month for every day shift worked.
Day shift coverage is paid at an hourly rate that is DOQ.
Call shift coverage is paid at an hourly call rate and regular hourly rate if called out.
Shift coverage is Monday through Friday 0830-1630. With 0500-0830 and 1630-1700 being on call.
On call shift coverage is 1700-0500 M-F and 1700 Friday to 0500 Monday morning with 5 shifts.
Fire certifications are not needed for EMT positions but are encouraged, Fire certification is needed for on call Firefighter and will be compensated fairly.
