DESCRIPTION:The Advanced EMT program is a 280 hour program that is the entry level of ALS for current EMT’s. Our Advanced EMT program is designed to provide the student with the foundation needed to function as an AEMT in the state of New Hampshire\, building upon the skills of an EMT-Basic provider. With the Advanced EMT Curriculum as its core\, our program adds the latest New Hampshire Transitional modules so our graduates will be fully prepared to practice with a New Hampshire EMS service. This course contains over 200 hours of advanced didactic and clinical education with expanded Anatomy\, Trauma and Pediatric pathophysiology modules. This course is once a week on Friday’s from 9am-5pm. There is also an online homework component to this course that is completed on Canvas. ​ The program consists of classroom lecture\, practical laboratory experiences\, a hospital clinical internship\, and a field EMS internship. Course and clinical work will allow students to perform advanced level patient assessment\, utilize advanced airway devices\, recognize lethal dysrhythmias\, initiate intravenous and intraosseous fluid therapy\, administer medications\, and achieve a higher level of clinical decision-making skills. ​ Students who successfully complete this program with an overall 80% average\, are eligible to take the National Registry of EMTs examination and subsequently apply for state licensure. Our program is approved by the New Hampshire Bureau of EMS.

DESCRIPTION:This course is the highest level of standards-based certification available to fire and emergency services instructors. During this writing-intensive 11-week executive-level education program\, you will demonstrate the knowledge and ability to develop comprehensive training curricula and programs for use by single or multiple organizations; conduct organization needs analysis; design record keeping and scheduling systems; and develop training goals and implementation strategies. \nThis class will be conducted in a hybrid online and in-person format consisting of two in-person classroom sessions\, several online synchronous meetings\, and the completion of a major writing project. Regular internet access is required to be able to complete the online component of this course. This course will require a significant investment of time and effort outside scheduled class sessions. You should anticipate 10-14 hours of course-related work per week. \nTo successfully complete the program and be eligible for certification\, you must demonstrate mastery of all standards-based components of the Instructor III Capstone Project based on established performance criteria. DESCRIPTION:🔥 New Course Offering: First Responder Inspector (Former Fire Inspector I) \nOverview:\nThis course is designed to meet the requirements of NFPA 1030 for the role of First Responder Inspector. Participants will gain the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to perform basic fire safety inspections under the direction of the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). This role is ideal for firefighters assigned to suppression duties or other personnel whose primary responsibilities do not include fire inspection. \nWhat You’ll Learn: \nIntroduction to fire safety inspection principles \nApplication of specific codes and standards \nConducting inspections in accordance with AHJ directives \nRecognizing and reporting fire hazards \nPrerequisites: \nHazardous Materials Awareness\, fulfilled by one of the following: \nNFPA 470 Hazardous Materials Awareness Level Responder \nAWR160 WMD/Terrorism Awareness for Emergency Responders \nAny course meeting the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(i) \nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent \n  \nSuccessful completion of this course will prepare participants to operate at the First Responder Inspector level as defined by NFPA 1030. \nModule 1: Foundations of Fire and Life Safety Code (8 Hours) \nObjective: Understand the purpose and application of fire and life safety codes. \nModule 2: Roles and Responsibilities of Inspectors (6 Hours) \nObjective: Learn the essential duties and responsibilities of a First Responder Inspector. \nModule 3: Occupancies and Hazard Recognition (10 Hours) \nObjective: Identify fire and life safety hazards in various occupancy types. \nModule 4: Detection and Suppression Systems (10 Hours) \nObjective: Assess the operational readiness of fire detection and suppression systems. \nModule 5: Legal Proceedings and Documentation (6 Hours) \nObjective: Prepare for participation in legal proceedings and understand documentation requirements. \nDays of the week and locations are subject to change based on availability and program needs.
