Student Services and Support

The Bureau is committed to enhancing the educational experience by providing essential services that facilitate classroom instruction and promote effective student interaction. Our responsibilities include:

• Registration Management: Streamlining the enrollment process for all training programs.
• Grading Oversight: Administering fair and accurate assessment of student performance.
• Accountability Measures: Ensuring adherence to academic standards and professional requirements.
• Testing Coordination: Organizing and supervising all examination procedures to maintain integrity and compliance.

Certification Services and Oversight

We provide critical certification services to uphold the highest standards in fire and emergency medical services:

• Certification Administration: Managing the certification process for professionals to meet state and national standards.
• Compliance Monitoring: Overseeing that all personnel adhere to mandated regulations and protocols.
• CPAT Coordination: Administering the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) for individuals pursuing careers as firefighters.

Education Technology

The Education Technology group manages the online learning academy, an integral part of the Division’s firefighting and EMS training initiatives. The Education Technology group builds and manages online learning material based on approved curricula. It also manages Division media and serves in other similar support roles throughout the Division.
