Instructor Mentoring Program

The instructor mentoring program is designed to assist new instructors, whether for Fire or Emergency Medical Services, to learn how to be better educators within their disciplines. In order to participate in the mentoring program, candidates must first:

EMS Instructors
  • Complete Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I certification
  • Complete Fire and Emergency Services Instructor II certification
  • Complete Fire and Emergency Services Instructor III certification
  • Obtain provisional EMS instructor license
  • Attend EMS Instructor Orientation
  • Complete an approved mentoring agreement application with a NH Fire Academy mentor
State Fire Instructors
  • Complete Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I certification
  • Attend Fire Instructor Orientation
Instructor Mentoring Program Completion Requirements

Candidates may utilize more than one mentor to complete their requirements. In the event that there is more than one mentor, the mentor who completed the majority of the time and evaluations on the candidate will be the responsible party for submitting the final letter of recommendation to the NH Fire Academy and EMS.

Mentor Agreement and Evaluation

In order to evaluate the performance of candidates, mentors will complete and submit the mentor agreement form FIRST, then once approved, will submit evaluations using the form below.
