The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) course is designed to prepare individuals for advanced prehospital care in both urban and rural settings. Building on the foundational knowledge of the EMT, this program equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide limited advanced life support (ALS) care, including intravenous therapy, advanced airway management, and the administration of select emergency medications. This course follows the National EMS Education Standards for the AEMT level and is intended for currently certified EMTs seeking to expand their scope of practice and enhance their ability to care for critically ill and injured patients.
