Crisis intervention training is a 40 hour program that engages first responders to better understand how to recognize and respond to someone experiencing a mental health or SUD crisis. Participants will gain a better understanding of mental health diagnoses, community and state resources, de-escalation and other communication skills. Topics will include civil commitment laws, suicide intervention, as well as cultural issues.
