A 40- hour program that engages first responders in better understanding how to recognize and respond to someone experiencing a mental health or SUD crisis. Participants will learn about mental health diagnoses, community and state resources, communication skills, verbal de-escalation and other valuable tools for their response toolbox. This training can improve community partnerships as well as encourages participants to consider their own mental health needs.
