| There will one in person 8-hour day for managing escalating incidents and that will be from 8:30-5:00 at the fire academy in addition to the test day. The rest of the program will be on zoom from 9am to 12pm. |
This course is the second level of certification for fire service leaders who work at the at the supervisory/managerial level within a fire department. As a student, you will learn the principles of human resources management, community and government relations, department administration, inspection and investigation, emergency services delivery, and integrating health and safety into daily operations. To ensure the safety and effectiveness of all participants, prerequisites must be met at the time of registration unless otherwise specified in the course description. These prerequisites are carefully chosen to match the skills, knowledge, and certifications necessary for successful participation in the course. If a valid certification is required (e.g., CPR certification), it must remain current throughout the course. Participants are responsible for renewing any mandatory certifications that may expire during the course period. Failure to meet the stated prerequisites may result in ineligibility to attend the course.
