This course is the second level of standard-based certification available to firefighters. Course materials provide information on topics included in the Firefighter I program, and allow the firefighter to participate in certification testing to obtain Firefighter II certification based on NFPA 1001, 2019 edition ProBoard Certified

  • Fire Cause
  • Firefighter Safety Skills
  • Surveys, Fire Prevention & Public Education

  • Fire Suppression II
  • Communications
  • Pre-plan Inspection
  • Assist Rescue Teams

  • Courage to be Safe

Prerequisites

Prerequisites must be met at the time of registration.

  • ICS 100
  • ICS200
  • Student Medical Release
  • Firefighter I
  • IS700
  • CPR - Professional Rescue valid through the end of class

Registration is only permitted within the defined registration window. Prerequisites must be met at the time of registration. Applicants will be notified within two business days with the status of their applications. Courses where pricing is listed as "grant funded" covers course tuition only. Overtime/backfill eligible courses will be specifically noted.
