This Instructor Development session continues the Firefighter I Division Delivery Alignment series and focuses on the consistent instruction of PPE and SCBA modules across all programs. The course reinforces standardized teaching methods and performance expectations for PPE inspection, cleaning, and daily checks; proper donning and doffing of PPE and SCBA (including over-the-head and coat methods); cylinder replacement, refilling, and emergency air management skills. Instructors will also review safe mounting and dismounting of apparatus, donning from the seat, breathing control, communication techniques, emergency SCBA use, and operation of the Universal Rescue Connection to ensure uniform delivery, safety, and compliance throughout Firefighter I training.
