Course Description

This 3-hour didactic asynchronous course is designed to familiarize the emergency healthcare provider with the knowledge and skills necessary to care for a variety of obstetrical emergencies, as well as to manage normal labor and neonatal assessment.

Topics include:

· Prenatal Assessment

· Normal Labor

· Postpartum Hemorrhage

· Hypertensive Emergencies

· Malpresentations

· Newborn Resuscitation

After completing this didactic portion, participants will be able to apply their knowledge through realistic simulations at an in-person skills practice session. Scheduled in-person skills sessions TBD.
