Protocols

This is the most recent version of the State of New Hampshire Prehospital Patient Care Protocols. This course, along with the appropriate Scope of Practice course, are required for EMS licensure in New Hampshire.

The protocol rollout was created to educate the provider of the changes to the latest version of the Protocols and not act as the sole mechanism to teach providers on new skills, processes, and medications. Providers need to consult with their unit leader(s) to determine the process they must undergo to become familiar with the Protocols.

Implementation of the protocol transition is a responsibility of the providers’ EMS Unit. This will include,

• Additional training, education, and skills verification for new protocols.
• Logistical support to include the procurement of additional equipment needed to apply the new protocols.
• Internal unit verification that all providers have undergone the official rollout by the effective date.
