The Town of Hooksett, NH is currently accepting applications for the position of full-time Firefighter / AEMT or Paramedic. This is a 42 hour/week position responsible for fire suppression, fire prevention and education, advanced life support emergency medical care, rescue and other emergency and non-emergency duties.
The Hooksett Fire Rescue Department is a suburban and progressive fire, rescue and EMS department located between Concord and Manchester, NH. Shift personnel work 24 hour shifts based out of two (2) stations. The department operates 3 engines, 1 ladder, 1 tanker, 3 ambulances, 3 forestry units, 2 boats and various staff vehicles. This position has many benefits and incentives including:
- FF / AEMT salary: $51,083 to $66,700.
- FF / Paramedic salary: $55,146 to $71, 985.
- Potential sign-on bonus up to $10,000.

Minimum qualifications for this position include NH or Pro-Board Firefighter 2, National Registry Paramedic or AEMT, valid driver’s license and high school diploma (or GED). Candidates must hold or obtain a CDL-B license to maintain employment. Candidates must also have a valid CPAT certificate or meet Part 703 of the NH State Fire Code. Lateral transfers, Paramedics and those enrolled in a Paramedic program are encouraged to apply.
