An important announcement about our online training programs for all emergency service providers in the State of New Hampshire
September 13, 2023 at 08:00
The Division of Fire Standards and Training & EMS strives to provide the best training and educational opportunities to fire service and EMS providers in New Hampshire. We are excited to announce our new online classroom, which can be reached at https://nhfaemslearning.org.
With the launch of the new site, students can continue to access all our existing online training programs, as well as an expanded catalog of trainings which includes individual Firefighter I and II modules.
Additionally, the new classroom works in conjunction with RespondNH, the Division of Fire Standards and Training & EMS’s central portal for managing all provider and service demographic profiles, licenses, certifications, and training records.
The new training platform replaces the current classroom, located at ola.nhfa-ems.com. Students will not be able to initiate any new training on the old online learning academy, which will be completely retired as of October 18, 2023. If students are currently enrolled in a course, they will continue to have access at ola.nhfa-ems.com but must complete it by October 18, 2023, to avoid losing progress. Any partially completed coursework will be lost. Any incomplete courses must be restarted from the beginning on the new site.

One added benefit to this upgrade effort is connecting to RespondNH, the Division of Fire Standards and Training & EMS’s central portal for managing all provider and service demographic profiles, licenses, certifications, and training records. If you have ever applied for an EMS provider license, been issued a fire certification, or taken an in-person or online course at the Academy in the past, you will have a RespondNH account. Because of this partnership with RespondNH, all users with a RespondNH account already have an account for our new online learning academy.
To access your account:
If you’ve correctly entered your username or email associated with your RespondNH account, you will receive a link for a password reset.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding the online learning academy to fstemsonlinelearning@dos.nh.gov
If you have any questions about RespondNH, you can reach out to NHESR@dos.nh.gov.
The academy’s online learning academy is working in partnership with RespondNH to provide our users with a more streamlined online learning experience. The online learning academy is where you will take your online coursework. RespondNH is the student management system that manages certificates, licensing, and other aspects related to your education, training, and licensing in New Hampshire where you will be able to see your course completion certificates and a transcript of all training that you have taken through the Division.
If you have taken an online course at the Academy in the past, a RespondNH account has been created for you. Your login information would have been emailed to you.
Because of this partnership with RespondNH, all users with a RespondNH account already have an account for our new online learning academy.

Only individuals who have never filled out a General Admission Application, taken an online course through our online academy, or applied for a New Hampshire EMS provider license will need to create a new RespondNH account.

Since RespondNH is used to manage your information, you will need to make changes in RespondNH. Navigate to www.RespondNH.org, log in, and make your changes. Any changes made in RespondNH will be reflected in your online learning profile.
No, this is a completely new account. Your username for the new online learning academy is the same as your RespondNH account.
RespondNH tracks your educational history, so any coursework you’ve done in our old system is accessible via RespondNH. Your old online learning account will not be necessary to track your educational history.
RespondNH has been storing copies of all certificates that have been issued to you since 2022. Log in to RespondNH to view and/or download a certificate. RespondNH will show completion of online courses taken before 2022 in your transcript but will not include certificates of completion. Refer to your personal records for copies of those certificates or complete a “Duplicate Certification Request” form under applications in RespondNH (fees may apply for copies)
