Course Description

Now that the HazMat team has done their job and transferred care of the exposed patient to you, what are the signs and symptoms you should be assessing for and how should you treat a patient exposed to a CBRNE incident?

In this class we will discuss caring for a patient exposed to a chemical or biological agent as well as briefly discuss radiation injuries. The focus of this class will be on the prehospital care for a single patient and not a mass casualty event.

Finally, we will review some local incidents in which patients were exposed to various agents.
