The Town of Plymouth Fire Department is seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate opening for the position of Full Time Deputy Fire Chief. Plymouth is a Town with a population of 6,911, perfectly situated between the lakes, mountains and rivers. This position is responsible for supervising and providing fire prevention, suppression, and emergency medical services to the Town of Plymouth and Plymouth State University. We also provide emergency medical services to the Towns of Ashland, Holderness, Rumney and portions of Bridgewater.
Qualifications include:
• Associate in Applied Science
• Firefighter II Certification
• NREMT
• Company Officer I & II or equivalent
• A minimum of five years’ experience in an organized career/ combination Fire Department with at least two years in a Supervisory position, or any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Possession of a valid CDL-B with Tank Endorsement.
• NIMS, ICS 100, 200, IS 701-a
• Completion of the State of NH Administrative rules, 701.01, 701.02, 702.01, 702.02 or a lateral transfer that meets rule 703.01.
Preference will be given to candidates with higher education, experience level, as well as certifications such as A.E.M.T. or Paramedic, Firefighter Level III, Swift Water Technician, Fire Instructor and Fire Inspector.
The normal schedule for this salaried position is Monday-Friday days (40 hours). You may at other times be subject to recall.
The salary is commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
