Opening for Per Diem Firefighter/EMT

The Sanbornton Fire & Rescue is accepting applications to fill open positions of Per Diem Firefighter/EMT (AEMT or Paramedic preferred).

Sanbornton Fire & Rescue is a combination department made up of a full time Chief, a part time Deputy Chief/EMS Coordinator, 1 full time Lieutenant/EMS provider, 3 full time Firefighter/EMS providers, 1 part time administrative assistant, 15 On-Call Firefighters and EMS providers and 7 Per Diem Firefighter/EMS providers.

We have Per Diem openings for 12-hour day shifts from 8 am to 8 pm and 4-hour evening shifts from 8 pm to midnight, or 24-hour shifts 8 am to 8 am. (Must not exceed 1,500 hours on average annually), the fire department is now staffing the station on a 24-hour basis.

Minimum requirements:

·        18 years of age

·        High School diploma (or GED)

·        NH Licensed provider at the EMT level

·        Valid NH driver’s license

·        Pro-Board Firefighter I

·        Highly motivated individuals that can show a commitment to the town, our residents and the       department.

Additional consideration will be given to applicants with:

·        AEMT certification

·        Pro-Board Firefighter II

·        Paramedic certification
