This workshop will explore the broad array of response-based risks faced by responders during natural disasters and how to mitigate their impacts. Objectives: • To mitigate weather-related impacts on responders. • To identify other risks related to exposure such as mold, flood water contaminants, etc • To monitor your team during a response for early recognition of potential health threats.

Understanding the effects of sleep deprivation and learning the importance of sleep cycles. Also, we will discuss and how sleep disorders impact fitness for duty and quality of life. Finally we will discuss strategies to improve sleep.

Locations: All in-person sessions will be held at the Richard M. Flynn Fire Academy, 98 Smokey Bear Blvd, Concord, NH 03301. Links to the online sessions will be sent out the week prior to the start date. Portions of sessions may be recorded and made available online at a later date. Workshops require participants to bring an element of their practice to work on.
