Naloxone for First Responders

This program will assist you in understanding how opioids work, how to recognize a person in severe respiratory depression due to an opioid overdose, the proper procedure for handling a potential opioid overdose, and how to store and administer Naloxone. We will present a variety of scenarios for the user to test what the have learned about patient care and Naloxone administration. We will also present information about properly documenting the overdose and treatment.
