Tablets and Simulation in the Classroom

Course Description

Kyle Snowdon will introduce students to the world of tablets and how they can be integrated into both fire and EMS classrooms.  He will discuss the pros and cons of using these devices as well as compare and contrast the two major operating systems that are on the market today.  He will summarize with a demonstration of a tablet in action and show examples of the powerful tools that it can offer educators.  Kyle is a program coordinator with the NH Fire Academy and EMS’s Education Technology group.

Andrew Mason is a Program Coordinator with the Division and will introduce students to the full range of manikins and their capabilities for simulation training that they can provide.  Andrew coordinates the simulation program is explains how instructors can request these resources for use in educational programs, demonstrations, continuing education seminars, and much more.  He discuss the advantages that real life simulation training can provide students for experiential learning and how that can enrich their overall experience.
