The Londonderry Fire/Rescue Department has openings and is conducting an open recruitment for the following position: Firefighter/Paramedic or Firefighter/EMT. We are a dynamic all-hazards Department that protects 26,000 people in a town of 44 square miles. Our response area includes residential, commercial, medical facilities, heavy industry and the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. At Londonderry you will be responding to emergencies that few other departments deal with due to our unique community make-up. Our Department operates out of three new fire stations, each equipped with modern kitchens, private bedrooms and fully equipped gyms. 48 full-time positions provide a fully-staffed level of 12 members on duty per shift.   Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Fire Science or related field preferred); Nationally Registered EMT; FF Level I and II.  Preferred:  Nationally Registered Paramedic or AEMT. Candidate must provide CPAT certification or comply with Rule Part 703-Transfers. Candidate will be required to pass an extensive entrance exam including polygraph, psychological and physical examinations. Following probation, candidate is required to pass a final entrance exam with a grade of 70% or greater, along with an Acrophobia test. Applicants are required to hold a valid NH Operator’s license and must attain CDL-B with Tanker endorsement. Pay range: FF/EMT or FF/AEMT $22.93/hr – $30.78/hr and FF/Paramedic $26.85/hr – $32.97/hr, plus educational incentives and excellent benefits.
