Description

After attending this continuing education course attendees will be able to describe the common documentation best practices associated with Transitions of Care, EMS Rule / Legal Compliance and Billing Practice. Additionally, attendees will be presented with underlying concepts and requirements that drive several common documentation requirements.

Objectives:
Describe the EMS Providers legal requirement to document EMS Activities as well as the manner and timeframe in which it must be completed
Describe the general concept of EMS data validation and validation requirements
Describe the best practices regarding the individual completion of an electronic EMSIR specific to:
o Fields and Field Options
o Narrative Structure & Detail
o Report Completion Flow & Timing
o Additional Tools
Describe the best practices regarding agency EMSIR completion
Describe the origin, custody and requirements of common additional forms utilized by EMS

Applicants will be notified within two business days with the status of their applications. Courses where pricing is listed as "grant funded" covers course tuition only. Overtime/backfill eligible courses will be specifically noted.
