Just Breathe: An Overview of Pediatric Respiratory Illnesses

This education will provide a review of the pediatric assessment with a focus on the respiratory system. We will discuss how to identify and treat the most common and most life threatening causes of pediatric respiratory distress and failure to improve your confidence in, and therefore your care of, the pediatric patient.

Objectives:
1. Review the initial assessment of a pediatric patient in respiratory distress.
2. Discuss how to identify potential causes of that child’s presentation.
3. Review up to date management of specific causes of respiratory issues in children.
