The history of the Allenstown Fire Department runs through many generations of those who live in and around the town of Allenstown. For many years the Allenstown Fire Department has been a breeding ground for firefighters throughout the State of New Hampshire. The history of the Allenstown Fire Department’s Resident Student Firefighter program started back in the early 2000s and continued until its last members grew to become firefighters. Many are in supervisory roles in the New England area!
The Allenstown Fire Department has seen many changes since then. We take great pride in teaching and bringing young members into the fire service. With this, we have reinstituted the Resident Student Firefighter program for the Allenstown Fire Department!
Being a Resident Student Firefighter is a rewarding way to learn skills used in both firefighting and emergency medicine. Upon learning a minimum number of skills and abilities, Resident Student Firefighters can be expected to respond to emergency calls under the supervision of the senior members of the Allenstown Fire Department.
